Looking for an experienced line cook to join our team.

Job duties includes but are not limited to:

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team and work beside our Head Chef. In addition to Sous Chef we are also looking to fill line cook positions. Our current days of operation are Saturday-Wednesday. Rock Harbor is a full service brew pub, specializing in great pub fare and craft beer.

Some duties will include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

  • Help in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menus
  • Produce high quality plates both design and taste wise
  • Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
  • Fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary
  • Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
  • Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef
  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
  • Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)

Pay: $38,000.00 – $52,000.00 per year
